FREQUENTLY  ASKED  QUESTIONS

What are the rewards of being involved in FUSE?
Please see our page Why FUSE?

What is the length of the commitment for FUSE?
That depends on how many tiers you choose to participate in. The total commitment is 32 months, over a span of 3 school years. In terms of a day-to-day time commitment, FUSE may hold meetings, which participants are required to attend. There are also occasional special events outside of meetings (i.e. business mixers, trends talk) where attendance is encouraged.

What happens if I miss more than two check-ins?
Your overall participation in the program will be evaluated to determine whether or not we feel you are dedicated to the program. We do understand that unexpected things sometimes happen and are willing to be accommodating in some extenuating circumstances.

What happens if problems arise between my mentor and I?
We encourage you to utilize problem-solving skills and try to solve the problem amongst yourselves. However, If you feel it's something you can't work out, contact FUSE executives and we will resolve the issue. If we can't reach a resolution, the issue will be brought forward to FUSE faculty.

My mentor has crossed a professional boundary and I'm worried about confronting them or have done so with poor results. What should I do?
If you at any point feel your relationship with your mentor has become inappropriate, contact FUSE faculty Frank or Kathy immediately.

What if I only plan to attend the two year IMC program? Will I still get a professional mentor?
If you are still an actively engaged and dedicated participant in the FUSE program at the end of your first tier, please see FUSE faculty Frank or Kathy to discuss other ways they can help you.
